Busit Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tip Top Union Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you use Busit, our followers tracker and profile insights mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who We Are

Busit is published and operated by Tip Top Union Limited, registration number 1716399, with business address at 84 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@tiptopunion.com.

1) Information We Collect

Account & profile (optional): Signing in to Busit is optional. If you choose to sign in, we collect your email address or the Apple ID credential you authorize, plus an account identifier and authentication tokens. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only Apple's private relay address. We never ask for, receive, or store your social media password.
Tracking list & app content: the public usernames and profile identifiers you choose to track, your recent searches, your tracking preferences and toggles, notification settings, and other in-app choices.
Publicly available profile information: to provide the Service, Busit retrieves and stores snapshots of publicly available information for the profiles you track, such as public usernames, display names, profile images, follower and following counts, and public follower or following lists. Busit does not access private accounts and does not retrieve information that is not publicly visible.
Purchase & subscription data: subscription status, product identifiers, transaction and receipt identifiers, and renewal state received from Apple. Apple processes your payment; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Device & usage: IP address, device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, diagnostics, and analytics about how you use the Service.
Support information: the messages, attachments, and contact details you send when you request help or make a privacy request.
Cookies / identifiers: if you visit our website or in-app web views, we may use cookies and similar technologies to remember settings and measure performance.

Busit does not collect location data. The app does not request location permission and does not use precise or approximate location for any feature.

2) How We Use Information

Provide and operate the Service, including recording follower and following snapshots for tracked profiles and reporting new followers, unfollowers, recent follows, following changes, and accounts that do not follow back.
Send activity notifications about tracked profiles, where you have granted notification permission.
Maintain your tracking list and preferences, and synchronize them across your devices if you sign in.
Manage subscriptions, validate purchases, and restore entitlements.
Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support.
Monitor performance, debug errors, and prevent abuse, fraud, or automated misuse.
Comply with legal obligations, platform requirements, and enforce our terms.

3) Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where applicable, we process personal data under these legal bases: (a) your consent, for example for push notifications; (b) to perform a contract with you, including providing tracking features and subscriptions you purchase; (c) our legitimate interests in providing and improving the Service and keeping it secure; and (d) legal obligations.

4) Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Service providers that help us with hosting, data processing, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and customer support, under confidentiality obligations and only for authorized purposes.
Apple, in connection with account authentication, subscription purchases, and receipt validation.
Legal & safety authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

5) Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Follower and following snapshots are retained only as long as needed to detect and display changes for a profile you actively track, and are removed when you stop tracking that profile or delete your account. We use criteria such as account status, feature usage, and legal obligations to determine retention periods.

6) Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7) Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8) International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including Hong Kong, the United States, and the European Economic Area. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.

9) Your Rights & Choices

Access, correction, deletion: You can request a copy, ask to correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete your personal data.
Consent withdrawal: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, including by disabling notification permission in your device settings.
Objection & restriction: In certain cases you may object to or request restriction of processing.
Data portability: You may request a machine-readable copy of your data, where applicable.
Marketing: You can opt out of non-essential emails by using the unsubscribe links or contacting us.
Stop tracking a profile: You can remove any profile from your tracking list in the app at any time, which stops further collection for that profile.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You can exercise these rights by contacting privacy@tiptopunion.com.

10) Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (for example, Sign in with Apple, analytics, or Apple's in-app purchase system). Your use of those services is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. Busit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, or any other social media platform.

11) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies via your browser settings, but some features may not function properly without them.

12) Notifications & In-App Permissions

With your permission, we may send push notifications to tell you when new activity is available for the profiles you track. Busit requests notification permission only. It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, photos, or contacts. You can manage or revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

13) Data Deletion & Account Closure

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@tiptopunion.com, or by using the account deletion option in the app where available. We will respond within a reasonable period and delete data unless retention is required by law. Deleting your account also removes your tracking list and the stored snapshots associated with it. 14) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, if changes are material, take additional steps to notify you.
